Lanier Soccer Association hosted a Manchester United Talent ID Camp on June 1-3, 2017 at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville, GA. Although LSA has been actively involved for many years offering our players the opportunity to be seen, and potentially recruited, by Georgia colleges, this was the first talent ID camp hosted by LSA for a world renown soccer team.

The ID camp was conducted by Mr. Jorge Alvial who joined the Manchester United First Team Scouting Department as an International Scout for America. To learn more about Jorge Alvial, you can visit Jorge Alvial’s Wikipedia page.

The camp was open to all eligible LSA and non-LSA players and provided the incredible opportunity for over 40 talented, young players to tryout and potentially be identified to travel and play in Chile, as well as the U.K, as part of a Manchester United development team.

LSA would like to congratulate all the players that participated in the Manchester United Talent ID Camp. Not only did the camp enable a tryout to play internationally, Mr. Alvial offered a wealth of game knowledge, coaching, and development tips and skills to the players. Whether an individual player is offered the opportunity to play with the MU development team, every player has gained valuable experience to take them to their next level of competition.
